Tuesday, May 25th at MoCCA
This event will be different than others I did in NYC because
a) I will screen a teaser for the animation I'm working on and talk about it
b) Keith Mayerson (Horror Hospital Unplugged) will be joining me!
Here's the info:
The Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art - MoCCA
is pleased to present:
Dash Shaw and Keith Mayerson in Conversation

The New Graphic Novelists -- New Creators Transforming the Medium
Sunday May 9th @ 1:45pm-2:45pm, Learning Centre 1 (Library 1st floor)
There is a pantheon of great graphic novelists -- the folks who started thinking about comics as singular, book-bound creations. But that concept has shifted since its conceptualization, and a collection of young creators are pushing the medium in fantastic new ways. Creators Joshua Cotter, Colleen Frakes, Nate Powell, Ryan North, Dash Shaw, and Raina Telgemeier will discuss their experiences producing comics that alternately defy and embrace the term 'graphic novel". Moderated by Eva Volin.
